Nafis (Peter) Ahmed is a SK GLOBAL’s Senior Vice President for Asia Project Strategy and Development.
Mr. Ahmed has nearly 30 years of progressive experience in international planning, development and implementation. His career background includes sales, service, and outsourcing management skills, building cooperative business relationships and providing strategic advisory services that help bridge governmental, commercial and academic institutions and entities.
In addition, Mr. Ahmed helped to establish a Center of Excellence for a major technology company, which included research, product design and development, manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and sales in the United States, Asia and Europe. In 2004, Mr. Ahmed, then VP for Asia Business Development and the Center of Excellence at an advanced electric propulsion technology company, had the honor to present to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn the company’s prototypes for Advanced Clean Propulsion Technology.
As co-chairman for the Asian-American Business Committee of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce in Northern Virginia, Mr. Ahmed had helped to promote dialogue and trade between government, business and investments. He was also a founding member of the Asian Festival of Northern Virginia, one of the largest Asian festivals in the United States, which he has continued to support and manage for the past ten years, in the interest of sharing Asian culture, diversity, and understanding. In recognition of his service, the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce honored him as The 2009 Chairman of the Year for the Asian Business Committee. He is presently serving as a member of the Chamber’s Economic Development Committee.
Mr. Ahmed is a graduate from the University of San Francisco in Government, Harvard Business School in Global Strategic Management, Georgetown University Law School’s Academy of WTO Law, The National Defense College of Thailand (NDC-MS3) and The Thailand Energy Academy.
