Mark O’Connor joined Sidney Kimmel Entertainment in March 2016 as Executive Vice President of Production. O’Connor, a graduate of USC, began his career as an assistant in CAA’s Television Department, then became a trainee in the agency’s mailroom. Later he was promoted to agent in the Motion Picture Literary Department, representing feature writers and directors.

Shifting from representation to production, O’Connor became an executive for Lorne Michaels’ Paramount-based shingle Broadway Video, working on Tina Fey’s feature writing debut MEAN GIRLS. He then worked at Scott Rudin Productions, developing projects for the producer’s overall deal at Walt Disney Pictures and Miramax Films; subsequently, he was an executive at 20th Century Fox, shepherding movies such as NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and RENO 911!: MIAMI.

O’Connor most recently spent six years working as a senior executive at Todd Phillips' Warner Bros.-based production company Green Hat Films, working on such projects as Nima Nourizadeh's found-footage comedy PROJECT X and the upcoming Warner Bros. release WAR DOGS, directed by Phillips and starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, based on the Rolling Stone article “The Arms and the Dudes.” O’Connor lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
