EVP, Film Production
Mark O’Connor joined SK Global in 2016 as Executive Vice President of Production. Since joining the company O’Connor has overseen a range of global box office successes and critically acclaimed projects, including recent films ANYONE BUT YOU, PALMER, GRETA, and CRAZY RICH ASIANS, as well as feature documentaries MOUNTAIN QUEEN: THE SUMMITS OF LHAKPA SHERPA and CATCHING FIRE: THE STORY OF ANITA PALLENBERG.
Prior to joining SK Global, O’Connor spent six years working as a senior executive at Todd Phillips' Warner Bros. based production company Green Hat Films, where he developed and produced such projects as PROJECT X and WAR DOGS.
O’Connor also spent some time as an executive at 20th Century Fox, where he shepherded movies such as NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and RENO 911!: MIAMI. Previously he worked at Scott Rudin Productions, where he developed projects for the producer’s overall deal at Walt Disney Pictures and Miramax Films. He started his career in production as an executive at Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, working on Tina Fey’s feature writing debut MEAN GIRLS.
Before moving into production, O’Connor represented feature writers and directors as a talent agent in the Motion Picture Literary Department at CAA, where he rose through the ranks after first starting his career in the agency’s mailroom.
O’Connor is a graduate of USC and currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
