Xian Li

Xian Li joined SK Global Entertainment in 2018 and currently serves as EVP, Development. She works together with the domestic and international teams and is charged with leading the efforts to enhance and expand the company’s slate of Asia-focused, globally minded film and TV projects including the CRAZY RICH ASIANS franchise. She is passionate about identifying and elevating content with cultural specificity and global reach.

Prior to joining the company, Li led Asia productions at Twentieth Century Fox International, where she oversaw creative development and production across Asia, and was responsible for projects including THE WAILING, A LITTLE RED FLOWER, DRAGON BALL Z, and I WANT TO KNOW YOUR PARENTS. She specializes in international co-productions as well as sourcing international materials for global adaptation.

Li has extensive experience across all creative and business functions within the film industry. Additionally, Li worked for Fox Searchlight International, where she managed marketing and distribution for over thirty features, including Academy Award winning titles like BIRDMAN, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.

Li began her career in film as Assistant to Producer on SNOW FLOWER AND THE SECRET FAN for Fox Searchlight. She also worked in TV Media, business development and private equity before joining Sony Pictures Entertainment in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in China, Li is a graduate of Peking University and the University of Southern California.
